I just brought home a cheap Norinco JW15.22 rimfire bolt action rifle. They are a Chinese knock off of the model 2 ( I think ) Brno. It shoulders nice, feels great actually, bore is great, the trigger pull is like the clutch on a lawn tractor but I don`t care too much. However the rear sight ( cheap piece of tin ) is slightly bent, does anyone have any clues to how this is attached before I grab it with a pair of long nose pliers and give it a tweak??rifle was second ( very ) hand and is to be a knock about.22, but I`ll prolly strip the stock back and re do it make it look pretty and increase it value by about 10 bucks. My step son will use it at the range basically and it`ll be a camp rifle. It should be simply dovetailed.

I have two Norincos, same action but different model numbers and styles. My experience is that the Chinese make a pretty good shooting rifle, rough finished but good performer. The sights don't follow US standard dovetail size though. I wanted to install a different front sight, but couldn't fit one to the odd-sized dovetail! My JW-27 has a superb trigger - very nearly entry-level-matchgrade!

The TU-KKW is more of a military style trigger, but decent. The JW-27 has shot sub-one inch groups at 100 yards with good ammo! Very not bad!Give it a good cleaning, and maybe polish the contact surfaces - it should smooth up considerably. The Norincos are indeed BRNO knock-offs actionwise - they can use the current CZ magazines. My 'China Dolls'. Thanks Bigdog, I had hoped you`d answer this post, but being the resident.22 rimfire guru I wasnt surprised that you did. I`ll have to post pics of this really tin pot cheap rear sight, I pulled it apart just before, you just pull up on it, and the flat peice of tin with the serations on it comes out. I sorta bent it and replaced it a few times and its okay, honestly open sights are a thing of the soon to be past for me, unless I get laser eye surgery.
I am becoming blind as a bat up close. This rifle I`ve bought, it was 90 bucks, and honestly, you`re lucky to get a 200 yr old single shot for that. I can just scrounge up some mounts and put one of my crappy scopes on it and it`ll be fun for around the camp and for my step son to waste ammo with at the range when I`m working up loads for my other rifles. The bore is great, the stock is a bit beaten and she could do with a really scrub ( it`ll get that after my xmas away trip ) But that trigger! It`s like using a big stapler! It`s so bad its actually funny to use. Just Needing some help.hi everyone.

A recent hunting trip to my uncles propperty in Australia and also reciving my juniors firearms permit, im in need of buying a.22lr, bolt action repeter. As im only a teenager (so i cant actualy buy the rifle, Ill have to get my dad to get it and then he will let me use it) im having to pay for it my self. Because of this my price range is going to be down around the $300 max. The Norinco JW-15A looks like a good choise seeing as it is cheap but is a copy of the Brno 2 (which if i had the cash id like to buy). Could any one who owns this rifle plz help me by telling me if it is worth buying. It would be used as a rabbit hunting an sometimes for target shooting. I want to be convinced as this is going to be my first rifle and i dont want to waste my hard erned dollars on a pice crap.
Im also considering geting a gunsmith to play with the trigger(ive herd it is a little crap), would this be a wise desision. Also i intend to put a scope on it and was woundering whether it accsepts scope mounts and ecsetra. If you could also put up some pros and cons thated be a big help. Thanks to all who help. Good'Day, CW! Welcome to G&G!Yep, the JW15 is a good little rifle, though as always, check it close for condition, and make sure there are no functional issues or missing parts. The price seems high, but I am not up on the exchange rate between US and AUS dollars.
And these days, ALL guns are higher priced. The JW rifles do have a standard 3/8' dovetail rail on top, so regular.22 rings should fit fine. Just make sure they are high enough so the bolt handle clears the scope without hitting. The JW triggers are usually pretty good, but if it is rough, a good gunsmith will have no problem smoothing it out.The Norincos are about impossible to wear out - it'll last your lifetime, I am sure!
